The Bering Straits Regional Housing Authority (BSRHA) utilizes the Native American Housing Assistance and Self-Determination Act (NAHASDA) to facilitate homeownership opportunities for qualified lower income Alaska Native/Indian families.
The program is intended to provide low income families with a home that is safe, decent, sanitary and affordable.
Since the inception of the NAHASDA in 1996, BSRHA has built a total of 106 homes.
